Established in 2006, the Sheffield Music Academy, under its director Martin Cropper and his team of specialist tutors, is one of the few centres in the UK for the advanced training of young musicians up to the age of 19. Funded by the Department of Education, interested trusts, sponsors and donors, the Academy teaches over 150 young musicians a year.
