The Danish String Quartet made its debut at the Copenhagen Summer festival in 2002. Since then the Quartet has won the Danish radio P2 Chamber Music Competition (the youngest winners in the history of the competition), the 1st prize in the Vagn Holmboe, the Charles Hennen and the 11th London International String Quartet Competitions. In November 2011 the group will receive the Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carls Nielsen Prize, Denmark's most important cultural award.
